As a car enthusiast and an autocrossing fan, I have been hooked ever since my first autocross. I want to find all the autocrosses that I can, test out myself and my car. There is only one problem: I have very little money for gas to travel the 100+ miles to most of Washington's autocrosses. I live north of Everett, in the northern third of the state. There is a popular venue just south of Mt. Rainier, a dis-used airport near Spokane, and a similarly dis-used airport on the Peninsula in Bremerton. I have yet to find anything between Seattle and the Canadian border that doesn't require a ferry or a tank of gas just to get there. If anyone knows of any events in King, Snohomish, Skagit, or Whatcom counties, please, PLEASE let me know!

What about in Canada?

Evergreen in Monroe & Pacific Raceways in Kent/Auburn.
Actually, not 100% on Evergreen. I know they drift there. On the 22nd of February there is a SCCA Solo race at Pacific Raceway:

If I lived in Bellingham, I'd consider it.

Evergreen doesn't seem to host many autocrosses. Just open drift nights.
And Pacific Raceway is a bit far for me.

I commute from Covington to Bothell. Unless you're up near Bellingham, it's not too terrible. I know a guy who goes to Pat's Acres in the Portland area for Dorifto events.

I'm assuming you don't live there then. I tried!

I'm in Marysville, so it would be at least an hour drive to Kent. I suppose that wouldn't be too bad, just that the drive through Seattle can be stressful.

Marysville, so about an hour south of Bellingham. I'd just like to be able to complete the day on just one tank of gas if possible.

I'm on the other side of the country so I don't know much anyway. There's none in Seattle?

It's not that bad on the weekends, especially if you run 405 South instead of 5. I make my early morning work runs in about 40 minutes, and have very little trouble hitting Bellevue or Kirkland on the weekends.

I have done 405 on a Saturday morning, and it was quite relaxing. No cops, almost no traffic, and may or may not have had a Mustang GT and an Escalade doing 90-95 with me. Good times.

The nearest one is directly across the Puget Sound from Seattle, but ferries can get a bit expensive. I might see if Pacific Raceways just South has anything going on.

I'm hoping the roads will be fairly clear for this weekend:

I was looking at them, but I couldn't find where they posted local autocross events. All I found was links to SCCA events in Bremerton and Packwood. Perhaps I'll email them or something.

I didn't see a 2014 schedule up - I'm not sure how many events they run, at least 3 I think.

I signed up for the email list. Hopefully they send stuff out.

I'm in Tacoma and was having similar issues last year.
This year, it looks like there are a couple that happen close to me.
Sorry, pal :(
